AIRPORT SECURITY

Sebastian Municipal Airport is required to meet set standards for airport security. ID badges are now required for all personnel needing regular access to enter the Airport property. All personal vehicles must display an airport access sticker, available from the City of Sebastian Police Department. Any vehicle on the active airfield must have the proper safety equipment and Airport/City logo. 

The Sebastian Municipal now has installed security cameras on all sections of the airport. These cameras record 24/7 in a central computer location. Please be aware if you enter the Airport property, your activities will be recorded.

Please note that no one may bring firearms of any type onto the Airport property without specific approval and appropriate licenses.

PILOT BRIEFING FACILITY

The Sebastian Airport FBO, Wings G.A., has a complete pilot briefing facility available in the Airport Administration Building on the southeast side of the airport. The Briefing Room is on your right just as you enter the building from the ramp. The briefing computer system normally displays the Sebastian Airport website. If you go to the "Pilot Briefing" section, you will find all the necessary websites for a complete pilot briefing including the local; weather conditions at X26. This facility is also available for those pilots with "wifi" capability on a laptop computer. Wifi coverage presently is available in the lobby of the Administration Building.

AIRPORT VIEWING PARK

The Sebastian Municipal Airport has located a viewing park in front of the Airport Administration Building on the front right as you drive in.  A picnic table is located  in the fenced area adjacent to the airplane ramp area. There is an excellent view of the skydiving operations across the field, especially on weekends. All are welcome to use this part of the Sebastian park system.

GEOENGINEERING & WEATHER MODIFICATION

The Florida Senate in 2025 passed new Statute, Section 403.4115, F.S., regarding the reporting on geoengineering and weather modification activities on public infrastructure.  Sebastian Municipal Airport is in compliance with this directive.
